AWG-KP 16 and AWG-LCA 14 and pre-sessional workshops
The sixteenth session of the Ad Hoc Working Group on Further Commitments for Annex I Parties under the Kyoto Protocol (AWG-KP 16); The fourteenth session of the Ad Hoc Working Group on Long-term Cooperative Action under the Convention (AWG-LCA 14.)
 
Sunday, 3 April to Friday, 8 April 2011Venue: UNCCBangkok, Thailand
The next round of AWG-KP and AWG-LCA meetings, as well as workshops pursuant to the Cancun Agreements,will take place in Bangkok from Sunday, 3 April through Friday, 8 April 2011. These meetings and workshops are to be preceded by preparatory regional group meetings from 30 March to 2 April.

Pre-sessional workshops open to all Parties will take place from 3 to 5 April 2011 at the United Nations Conference Centre (UNCC) of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), Rajdamnern Nok Avenue, Bangkok 10200, Thailand.
  • A workshop on assumptions and conditions related to the attainment of quantified economy-wide emission reduction targets by developed country Parties, as requested by decision 1/CP.16, paragraph 38 will be held on 3 April 2011.

  • A workshop on nationally appropriate mitigation actions submitted by developing country Parties, underlying assumptions, and any support needed for implementation of these actions, as requested by decision 1/CP.16, paragraph 51 will be held on 4 April 2011.

  • An expert workshop on the Technology Mechanism, as requested by decision 1/CP.16, paragraph 129 will be held from 4 to 5 April 2011.
